Death Ride Tour, Inc., Charity Cycling Events puts on a variety of cycle events in Aurora, CO, including the Death Ride Challenge. This bike event is a charity fundraiser that helps to raise money to support ALS research to find a cure for this debilitating disease.

How do we raise money with our Death Ride? Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $300 in contributions or have a sponsor in the amount of $300 by June 10th, 2017. This money, as well as money collected through sponsorships and donations, help us raise the funds necessary to make a huge difference in the lives of those fighting against ALS.

Are You Up for the Challenge?

The Death Ride Challenge covers 235 miles with about 16,500 feet of elevation gain. The challenge is to complete this very challenging bike ride in just one day. Only ultra-experienced cyclists with proper training are allowed to participate in this race due to the skills necessary to complete it safely. It is also recommended that all participants have already completed a double century or the Death Ride Loop prior to attempting the Death Ride Challenge.

The course is open from 3:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on June 11th, 2017. You are required to complete the course within the 17-hour time limit. If you are unable to finish the course in time you will be removed when time expires. Cyclists will be required to complete a phone or email interview with the event director before registration is confirmed. This helps to ensure that the rider is up to the challenge and that they know all of the risks that come with it.
